DAY 1 ARRIVE MUMBAI
Arrive at Mumbai International airport, on arrival you will be met and
transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 2 MUMBAI >TRIVANDRUM (BY FLIGHT) [B]
Today morning after breakfast, transfer to Mumbai airport for flight to
Trivandrum. Arrive Trivandrum and drive to Kovalam (20 kms). Arrive and
check-in at the hotel. Overnight at Kovalam.
DAY 3 TO DAY 8 KOVALAM [B, L, D]
Enjoy the Ayurvedic treatment at the Somatheeram Resort. Also enjoy the
beach. During this period you shall be served a special vegetarian meal.
Note: We shall be doing the Rejuvenation package.
DAY 9 KOVALAM > VARKALA (60 KMS / 1.5 HRS) [B]
Today morning after breakfast drive to Varkala. Arrive and check-in at
hotel. Evening enjoy the beaches. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 10 VARKALA > ALLEPEY (110 KMS / 2.5 HRS) [B/L/D]
After breakfast drive to Alleppey for the backwaters. Check-in in the
houseboat. Overnight on Houseboat.
About Houseboat:
The spectacular beauty of Kerala's backwaters needs no introduction. The
backwaters is an elaborate chain of lagoons, lakes & rivers, spread like
a necklace through central Kerala and found nowhere else in the world.
So the cruise offers excellent opportunity to see the lifestyles of
local people living along the large sections of the backwaters of Kerala.
The Kettuvallam (House Boat in Kerala) is a large floating structure
with high loading carrying capacity was a part of Kerala's culture and
heritage over the past years. Houseboats could sail harnessing wild
energy. A journey through the lagoon is interesting, passing through
sleepy villages, busy boat jetties and vibrant celebrations. The boat
glides across the shimmering blue waters with gorgeous green and fringed
edges.
DAY 11 ALLEPEY > THEKKADY (170 KMS/ 4 HRS) [B]
Today morning after breakfast drive to Thekkady. Arrive and check-in at
the hotel.
DAY 12 THEKKADY [B]
Day for the local sight seeing and visit to Periyar Sanctuary and spice
plantation market.
DAY 13 THEKKADY > COCHIN (190 KMS/ 5 HRS) [B]
Morning for the local sight seeing and afternoon drive to Cochin. Arrive
and check-in at the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 14 COCHIN > LAKSHADWEEP (BY FLIGHT) [B, L, D]
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Lakshadweep. Arrive and
transfer to the hotel in a boat (8 kms from airport). Arrive and
check-in at Bangaran Island Resort.
About Lakshadweep:
Lakshadweep is one of the world’s most spectacular tropical island
systems. Thirty- two sq. km of land spread over 36 islands surrounded by
4200 sq. km of lagoon rich in marine wealth.
Location: 8° and 12° North Latitude and 71° and 74° East Longitude. It
is 220 to 440 km off the Malabar Coast in Kerala, India.
Climate: Tropical. 27° C - 32° C
About Bangaram Island:
Living in an uninhabited Island! The very idea unfurls several
romantic thoughts. Bangaram is an island that does justice to all that
romantic imaginations. This teardrop shaped piece of land is encircled
by creamy sand. Even in the hottest part of the day, you won’t feel the
heat as luxuriant coconut trees shade you from Sun’s rays. For a perfect
outing, there are three uninhabited islands in the same atoll, Tinnakara,
Parali-I and Parali-II. The deep, warm, clear waters of Indian Ocean
with its myriad flora and fauna are an irresistible invitation to the
scuba diving fraternity of the world. The exquisite coral formation
including the black coral formations, the variety and number of coral
fishes - the angel, the clown, the butterfly etc.
DAY 15 TO DAY 20 LAKSHDWEEP [B, L, D]
Day at leisure and enjoy activities at the hotel.
DAY 21 LAKSHDWEEP > COCHIN > MUMBAI (BY FLIGHT) [B]
Morning transfer to the airport for the flight to Cochin. We take onward
flight to Mumbai. Arrive Mumbai and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at
hotel.
DAY 22 MUMBAI [B]
Day for local sight seeing including Gateway of India, Hanging Garden,
Victoria Terminus. Evening transfer to the airport for the international
flight.
